This short story is about our expedition on Lenin Peak. We are seven climbers from Spain who decide to do the program of Snow Leopard. And the first step is expedition to Lenin Peak. We choose Travel Agency TourAsia as an organization of the expedition, a company that has own Base Camps on Lenin Peak.
We chose the flight from Madrid to Bishkek via Istanbul.  In the Manas airport we were met by the representative of the company and he gave us tickets for domestic flight to Osh. The flight took just over an hour.  We have seen a spectacular view of the mountains and valleys of Kyrgyzstan in windows. At the airport we were met by another representative of the company. At comfortable minibus we quickly transferred to the hotel where we  able to relax after a long night flight. After dinner we walked along the green streets in the city, visited the bazaar, where bought some food for the climb.
In the morning we found two jeeps in front of the hotel, drivers loaded our backpacks and we started drive to Base Camp. The road from Osh to Irkeshtam is under construction, and we going pretty fast. But not long timeJ. Before the first pass the asphalt is over. Continue driving by bumpy road. Now we understand why TourAsia used  jeeps instead of van.
At the lunchtime we arrived at the yurt camp, where we had our lunch and time for rest. Continuing the path, we drive to the Taldyk pass, where opened a nice view of the top of Lenin Peak. But during just a couple of minutes peak disappeared in clouds. After pass we spent two hours to reach the base camp of Lenin Peak in the Edelweiss glade .
In the camp we met by the director of the company Vadim Khaibullin. The chief of Base camp show us our tent and told about the organization of the camp and meals times.
Put our baggage in tents, changing clothes and walking around the camp, we heard cook’s calls to take places in the dining tent. It was a served army tent, inside it was quite warm and bright. Taking advantage of electricity we put our cameras and photos batteries to recharge.
The next day, after breakfast, we walked to the Travelers pass, second part of the day we had time for rest and preparing equipment for the ascent.
The next day, the luggage was sent on horseback to the camp ABC. We were very glad with service of company TourAsia, their jeeps able to take up us to the Onion glade. This allowed us to save time and power.
Ascent to camp ABC took about 5 hours. During the way we took a lot of photographs. We met several climbers from other countries. In the camp were met with the commandant of ABC and accommodated in tents. And just once sat in the dining tent  for lunch.  After lunch was preparation for the ascent, we select our equipment, packaging products and etc. Consult with a guide about route, approved the schedule of ascent.
We will not delve into the details of the ascent. In the summit day the weather was magnificent. The morning was cold, but on top there was no wind. Our team as a whole has reached to Lenin Peak (7134m). Here opened a nice view of the Pamir mountains, we can see the peaks of Communism and Korjenevskaya. On the other side opened view of the Alai Valley. Short rest. Several shots to remember and we went down. Descended to base camp, took congratulations. In the evening was dinner with beer and wine, awarding certificates.
At the next day, we are happy sunburned and tired go down to Osh. Accommodated in a hotel, take a hot shower with unlimited water. Fatigue is gone!
The active part of the program is completed. But it would be foolish to go home and not see the monuments the period of the Great Silk Road. So we decide to visit Uzbekistan.  We went from Osh to Tashkent. And have a wonderful journey via the cities of Great Silk Road. We visited Samarkand, Bukhara, Shakhrisabz, Khiva. We have seen a lot of different mausoleums, mosques and museums.
We were very pleased. In this trip we decide to do  the next expedition. It will be peaks Marble Wall and Khan Tengri in the Central Tien Shan.
