Central Asia is jar from being just a geographical definition. It come to be widely used in the middle of XIX century, since the times of outstanding German geographer Alexander Humboldt (1769 – 1859) who included in this definition the territory from Southern Altai to northern slopes of the Himalayas. Later another known German geographer Ferdinand Rihtgofen (1833 – 1905) defined Central Asia as the territory spreading from Altai to Tibet and from Pamir in the west to Khingan (Mongolia) in the east. Later there were some other opinions about it. In addition, until now there is no exact and established definition of Central Asia.
